M.G. House
The renovation of a former stable in the Recanati countryside, on the famous hill sung about by Leopardi, has been given a new lease of life with technological solutions, while preserving the spirit of the place.
The masonry block constitutes a single volume with a very specific vocabulary of the architecture of the Marche countryside and fits harmoniously into the hilly environment.
The theme of light and the relationship with the external countryside is predominant in this project.
The use of a hybrid steel and reinforced concrete structure favored the organization of open-plan interior spaces.
The external trusses of the canopy on the north-east side support glass-to-glass photovoltaic panels, which, in addition to producing energy for domestic use, shade the internal spaces, reducing direct radiation on the large windows by 70%.
